So I was watching another great video from I site I love called The Love Vitamin, and I wanted to share and hear your thoughts. I have suffered from hormonal acne since I was well- a hormonal teen. I have as anyone who has ever had acne problems researched and bemoaned the situation till you are sick having to deal with it. I have come to terms gradually as I have gotten older and realized that beauty is what's on the inside, but there is always the constant "if only" in the back of my mind. Soo when I came across Tracy's video, I was eager to try it. She has a lot to say on the whole topic of acne that is really helpful but I was looking for something that would allow me to make baby steps through the whole process. She uses a honey called Manuka honey as a face wash. Honey? Yes honey from New Zealand. It is supposed to have medicinal properties that promote healing that is gentle and natural. They have been using honey for quit a while in the healthcare world for wound healing, so as a nurse it made logical sense. Acne is a chronic "wound" that is need of healing. While I truly believe it needs healing from the inside in the way of our lymph system (more on that topic at a later date) I was excited to try it. After research from Tracy's site and good old Amazon.com, I purchased my first container of the honey. It definitely has a medicinal smell and the taste is more bitter than sweet, but it has improved my acne tremendously! I was tempted to use other face wash with it because it seems so weird to do it without soap of any kind, but it seems to be working! It is a sticky mess but it is a natural and an easy one to clean up. So I'm hopeful that I will keep seeing results. Any one else brave enough to try it? Check out Tracy's website for more info-
